MIGUEL De ALLENDE 2009

San
Miguel is a national
historic landmark, home to an international community of artists,
writers, and sculptors. It’s perfect weather makes it comfortable
to stroll the cobblestone streets and admire the charm of this
town’s colourful architecture and rich history.
Study
en plein air with Crystal where painting and photo opportunities
abound. Every street and alley conceals a secret; a tiny hand
painted tile embossed into a crumbling wall, a discreet door that
gives way to a breathtaking courtyard. You might even spot a burro
(donkey) resting in the shade of an ancient tree.
Learn to simplify your
subject and get to the essence of your painting. Improve observational
skills through timed drawing excerises & quick gesture sketches
of people in action. Record your surroundings by creating texture
and colour in a few brush strokes. Produce informative thumbnail
sketches for your final paintings.
Free Time On your off days spend time
shopping in San Miguel’s upscale shops, take a house and
garden tour or perhaps pottery, yoga or Spanish lessons. Take
a day-trip to nearby attractions like a ghost-mining town or visit
the Diego Rivera Museum. (Click
